ILNRadio productions has been supporting up and coming and independent artists and musicians from the get go. Often long sets of Dan Oulette are run on our Gemjn Radio station with intermittent stories of how I came to know, appreciate and work with the man. Long sets of Dreamchild, Armand Melnbardis II . DFlash in Blue, Sugar Snow, M1 Music, BootmobRecords, Pheonix Flames, Johnny Gelsomini, K4S Entertainment, Liquid Black, DJBless, David Duke, Dungeon Masta, Paolo Gamma, Trendsetta, Quartet of happiness, Incus, stillrise, Mia, Thadeus, … does the list end? .. you get the point. All these people, and possibly YOU will be affected by the choice we are faced with at Gemjin Radio.
If we become licensed and track royalties so we can play ‘famous’ music we can play albums and spectacles of you guys. We can play your tune when your fan pops on and requests it until an hour later.
Does it matter to you? It matters to us! We are setting the policy for 2011 on Gemjin Radio. If it matters to you, let your voice be heard! Review the ‘rules’ in question: Applicable stipulations from the DMCA are summarized below.
1. You may not routinely include in your Broadcast Programming sound recordings within one hour of a request by a listener or at a time specifically designated by the listener.
2. In any three-hour period, you should not intentionally program more than three songs (and not more than two songs in a row) from the same recording.
3. You should not intentionally program more than four songs (and not more than three songs in a row) from the same recording artist or anthology/box set.
4. Continuous looped Broadcast Programming may not be less than three hours long.
5. Broadcast Programs of less than one-hour may not be repeat performed more than three times in a two-week period.
6. Broadcast Programs longer than one hour may not be repeat performed more than four times in any two-week period.
7. You should not publish advance program guides or use other means to pre-announce when particular sound recordings will be played or the order in which they will be played.
8. You should only include in your Broadcast Programming sound recordings that are authorized for performance in the United States.
9. You should pass through (and not disable or remove) identification or technological protection information included in the sound recording (if any).

Who cares about playing "famous" music, theres enough radio stations playing that garbage now, stick to focusing on the real talent that other stations may not pay. My gemjin show violates rules 2 and 3 every week as most songs i play are by me and are, on most shows, all from the same cd. I probably break a few other of those rules too, but it's my show, if I cant do it the way i want, I wont put my name on it. This DMCA sound to me like nothing more than a bunch of controle freaks on a ego induced power trip, this post might give me snark bait for the next few shows.
